The blues ain;t nothin' but the truth
Bobby Blue Biand is the greatest blues singer of the 20th century, Along with Ray Charles he mixed blues, gospel , country and pop in such a way that an all new sound arose. Some call it Southern Soul but just like the Right Reverend Ray Charles he just reinvented the Blues His singing , his use of the big bands, his deep expression of hurt and pain all combine to make a supernatural configuration

A latter version of myself
I started listening to R&B when I was 9 in 1955 in my dads gas station. It was a black clientele and my dad was a swarthy Jewish man, Whites boycotted us in D.C, even after the end of Jim Crow, I discovered black radio there and I never went back. I play CDs every day of my life . From Doo wop, blues, classic R&B, Soul , Slow jams and soul jazz, I am hooked. When it comes to music I don't have to Shop Around

The blues a'int nothing but the truth
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich So many southern soul and blues giants are not heard much anymore. Today's music is just not up to scratch.Even A.M. radio no longer plays the music from the 50's thru the 70's. How sad . I use my old personal cassette player to take my walks and I play my CD's at home instead of watching the decadence that is on TV and that sadly described as culture.
Johnnie Taylor was a great great singer. It is a pleasure to listen to him.
Thank you
