Rustoleum tub n tile paint
Certainly preparation is all important. Does a good job as far as covering and adhesion goes. Looks nice and shiny when done. Appears like it will stand up to many years of use. However if anyone thinks they will get a smooth new tub look applying with a brush and roller they are in for a disappointment. The two part epoxy paint sets up very fast and guickly becomes impossible to keep a smooth even surface coat going. Spraying would be the best but unless you want to mask off your entire bathroom it's not realistic. Also the fumes are intense and even with good ventilation your whole house is inundated with the smell for a couple of days.
We actually vacated the home for three days as my wife could not handle the smell. Overall considering the cost saving over installing a new tub I would recommend this product if you can be content with the less than new look.
