Haunting
Paul was lead singer of one of my favourite bands Mansun.
When the band split they disappeared. Eventually Paul turned up. He released a couple of ep’s. They were taking the Mansun baton and passing it onwards.
This album sees him singing with a greater range yet maintains the intimacy of his original group. I saw him perform this album in Portsmouth. He suited the venue perfectly.
Mansun have a really loyal and devoted fan base. Paul cherishes them all. He has produced another album that is worthy of their cannon. I have played it over and over as I did with the recent Dead Flowers Reject.

A laugh a day keeps the doctor away.
Brian has a unique view of our world. It is one we recognise yet learn to reevaluate what we see. He uses humour as an undercurrent. It can be used as a defence mechanism or an assault weapon. His words are fashioned not dropped. No words are wasted. They always hit their mark. He is astute, intelligent and endlessly creative. No other poet would submit a poem a day and publish it in one volume. They would eek it out into several tomes as if laying precious jewels before us.
This is a rare thing these days. Value for money. Food for thought. Endless re- readings for absolute treasure. A gem.

Short funny introductions to various towns and cities around the UK. Written by Iain Patrinson for Humph Lyttleton to read in his droll, languorous voice at the start of each radio show. Don’t read it like a book. Read a couple of places. Laugh. Come back to it.
