Classic and appealing Atlantic 1/72 Wild West set in original box from the late 1970s
Classic Atlantic 1/72 set with Wild West figures from the late 1970s in original box in mint/near mint condition. Brings a lot of memories of great fun alive. Figures are well sculpted and appealing. Could be used for hobby painting and diorama building as model soldiers/cowboys, but were originally intended as children's toys. Originally, these Wild West figures were advertised in a children's comics journal in Italy called "Topolino" (literally meaning "small mouse" in Italian but in practice meaning Mickey Mouse). These advertisements were also very appealing.

Fort Riley- Classic Atlantic Fort
The Atlantic 1/72 Wild West series from the 1970s produced in Italy presented a fascinating array of sets including Kit Carson, Davey Crocket, Stampede (Cowboys and Cows), Sheriffs and Outlaws, General Custer's last stand, 7th Cavalry, 7th Cavalry camp, Sioux warriors, Sioux camp, Apache warriors, and Apache camp. The present Fort Riley set was a medium size accessory set, and similar accessory sets included for example the Wild West town Abilene and the Gatling Gun set. The biggest sets included for example the battle of Washita River and the battle of Little Big Horn complete with figures from both sides, geographic map (supposedly in figure scale) and in some case Fort Riley and in another case the town Abilene included in these large size sets.
The figures, the accessories and the sets were thrilling and stimulated children's interest in US history. The advertisements in the late 1970s were also fascinating.
The Fort Riley set in the present near mint condition is a high quality product which brings back childhood memories full of joy.
The accessory sets Fort Riley and Wild West town Abilene were never produced in 1/32 scale.
