Everything You'd Expect From D'Addario: Great Quality
The string gauge .012-.053 is light enough to be easy on the fingers but thick enough to get good grip on them. They are bright sounding about a week in but it will probably loose that brightness a little which is expected. The sound is nothing special but it's notably easy to play it loud. I put them on parlor guitar which is a smaller acoustic guitar size but these strings can get more projection from the small instrument.

The Same Strings That Jaco Played
Excellent set of bass strings. They have a chalky feel to them when you first play them but that feeling goes away after about 2 weeks. They also loose a bit of the really high treble that it has at first. I recommend these because they sound great and this set was the same one that Jaco Pastorious played. Also the shipping and packaging was very well done.
