Quite anorexic for a Playboy.
I got this for the Stephen Hawking interview, which was fine. Otherwise very lean pickings. At least I can regale you with one of the Playboy Party Jokes: Rumors in the fast-food industry have it that McDonald's is preparing to test-market a new burger made with bulls' lips. It'll be called the McJagger.

The battle for the wooden spoon
The two bottom-rung teams in the World Cup, Monserrat and Bhutan, fight it out in Thimphu to avoid the title of world's worst. From opposite ends of the earth and equally opposite cultures, the story behind the game is more engaging than the match itself.

Eminently forgettable
There will be those who may rave about this, perhaps in an effort to be trendy and artsy-tartsy. But they, like Mssrs. Fogler and Canzoniero, would be just trying to show off. There's nothing here that wasn't done, and better, in the Sixties and Seventies. Wallace Shawn is, of course, the main drawcard and indeed the reason why I bought this thing. Yet he's given only a few lines and at most five minutes of screen time. There HAVE been some excellent surreal-picaresque films in the past; and for those suckers who've already shelled out real money here and wish to assuage their pain, I recommend O Lucky Man (1973. Dir: Lindsay Anderson, Stars: Malcolm McDowell). But of this genre -- so to speak -- even Cheech and Chong are more fun. You've been warned.
