I would recommend that a friend be very careful selecting pennies.
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich I wanted to get a good Indian Head cent as a type coin, so I went for the better ones and with a little bit of rarity. I lean to certified coins in a strong way but lots of cents are not slabbed because of the cost vs. the worth of the cent. I thought the larger photographs would catch problems but that is not the case. There is always something to be missed.
I may yet get a good sample; a person has to pay for his lessons I guess. I have been very happy with larger silver and gold coins I have bought on eBay that are certified but this trip into pennies is not going as well.
I will also have to learn how to make good photos of the darker smaller cents. More difficult than silver. Lots to learn.

The title is correct and appropriate.
The writing style is compelling, and the content is presented in a logical progression. Both pro and con arguments are included so material integrity is maintained. The reader is not overwhelmed with difficult words that have to be continually looked up nor do pages have to be frequently reread for understanding.
The only problem with the book is the superscript numbers/comments which should be found at the bottom of the page are not there, not at the end of the chapter, nor at the end of the book.

it says what it is.
Will Durant is a great writer making a 900 page book worth finishing. His style makes the material which could easily be tiring, readable. Full of new words and very thorough.
