Pirastro Obligato Double Bass Strings Set Orchestra Medium, Double Bass Strings

Amazing tone and volume

I had Spirocore lights on my bass. I changed two strings so I had spirocore and Obligatos on the bass. The tone and volume from the Obligato strings totally out classed the spirocores. Ok the Obligatos are a little heavier (medium tension) but I found because of this I didn't have to chase the string all over the finger board to play the next note. Also I found my intonation was vastly improved as the string stayed put, returning to its original position very quickly after the string was plucked/slapped/bowed. Playing with the bow sounded so much better and easier to get a true tone without squeaks. Yes I had to put in a bit of practise to gain a little more strength needed to play these heavier strings, but well worth it for the amazing tone and volume Obligatos have.

RADIAL TONEBONE PZ-PRE

I have a RADIAL TONEBONE PZ-PRE. It is an acoustic preamp all sing all dancing bit of kit from America that I use for double bass. I lost the power pack. The power pack is 400ma 15v not easy to find. Looking on e-bay I did find replacement power packs (from America) with p&p I was about to part with £38. I searched e-bay and put in 400ma 15v power pack and found this one for a little over £10. I did wonder if the input plug would fit the preamp? The plug fits perfectly and the power pack works just as well as the original. All Radial pedals are 15v, so maybe the manufacturers of this power pack could put in something like "suitable for Radial products" as part of the search they could save a lot of people a lot of money. Next pay day I am going to order anther power pack as a spare. VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER!

I bought this battery to turn over a 20 year old 2.5 diesel and It spins it like it was a 1 litre petrol. Don't think because it's cheap it's S**t, it really isn't. Other batteries in this category priced at over £100 save your money and but this one. 100% happy customer.
