Great alternative to spending another $400 plus dollars on another Trijicon.
3 von 4 finden das hilfreich I was not sure what to expect when I ordered this kit, but the alternative of spending $400 plus on another sighting option was not looking to good so I took a chance. The clear plastic piece is very well cut out and finished nicely, no real signs of how it was cut. The holes lines up perfectly with the stock holes so no real drama mounting it up. I did tighten up the screws with the supplied allen key to what I thought was snug, but later discovered the I put very fine cracks in the clear plastic near the screw holes. It does not appear to affect the strength of the plastic, so a word of caution when installing.
It comes with longer hex bolts with appear to be stainless steel which went into the scope with no issues. I put a little bit of loctite of them just to make sure they dont back out.
The light itself appears to be very well made out of solid copper or steel with a copper inner coating, so it does have some heft to it. There are the small batteries that power the light pre-installed so there is no real need to take apart, I just was curious what what inside. The light comes from a blueish, almost UV looking LED, so there should not be any issues with a bulb getting messed up with the recoil of firing.
I have this mounted on my AR-15 on a Trijicon Relex 2 that is from 2002 and the orange triangle is very faint at night, very hard to pick up quickly. Turning on the light I have no issues with seeing the orange triangle or my weapon light washing out the orange triangle.
Now there are some downsides to the setup. If you are trying to be steath at night with this setup it will not work out so great for you. The bi-product of having a light on is the front of the scope now is illuminated with a blueish/orangeish glow. For me this was not a issue as this gun is a home defense/range gun as if I am going to use it at home I would have the light on to identify my target. And if I am at the range I don't care if there is a light on.
One thing I did do that helps with some glare at night is to paint the center of the stock Trijicon clear piece. I have a link to some photos that shows this and also of the setup.
The one thing I think that would make this a even better setup is to have the light variable to match the level that is needed to help with the washout.
Overall this is a great addition to helping a old scope out and also your pocket book.

Good plate carrier for the money.
GOOD: Well made using quality materials, fully adjustable for the sizing around and also the shoulder straps. Accepts medium and large size plates due to a Velcro system inside the carrier that prevents smaller plates from shifting around. Has a great system for releasing the shoulder straps and the rear straps for getting the armor off in a emergency. Shoulder straps are comfortable, but I have not had a opportunity to have wear it for an extended period yet, much better than the non-padded version I have worn before.
BAD: No instructions on how to resize the carrier or its functions. All it has is the little information tag attached to it talking about the material that they used in the construction. It would have been nice to have had something to show how to adjust the shoulder straps since you have to take out the plastic cable that holds all the pieces together. It was not hard too figure out, but something to come with it to explain all the adjustments and or features.
END: I recommend this carrier for anyone in the market for a good low cost minimalist carrier.
