A very engaging book focused on a time in history I knew little about.
I really enjoyed the book. It's very compelling. Things move quickly...and surprisingly...and you can't wait to find out what comes next.
It's fatalistic...probably realistic...but very engaging and certainly a worthwhile read. I highly recommend it.

It is a faith restoring testament to man's humanity through a relationship between a man and his elephant comrades.
It is hard to break away from. The story is very compelling. When I have to put it down, I can hardly wait to pick it up again and start reading.

Life is what you make of it at any age.
This is a really interestingly presented story that's totally engrossing. Not finished yet but I am thoroughly enjoying every word. The characters are so well fleshed out. I feel like I know them.
