The Great Black Way
5 von 6 finden das hilfreich I bought this DVD because we saw Lewis Black in person recently and he was incredibly funny. I was aware of some of his older works, but didn't own any until now. I've since purchased several other works of his from eBay and all of them have been hysterical. He's the premiere commentator on just about everything and I plan to see him in person as often as possible. In the meantime, his CDs and DVDs give you a good idea of what to expect at his live shows.

Great for s'mores!
I bought these to use over the fire pit to make s'mores. The kids had a blast. These were nice and long...nobody got burned....and clean up was a cinch. Thanks!

Pint-Sized Paganini's
This movie is based on the true story of a young violin teacher in Harlem. Using the beauty of music, she teaches her class that they can be and do whatever they dream to be - if they're willing to put in the hard work to accomplish it.
The film spans several years and shows her struggles with not only the parents, but with the board of education as well, who at one point vote to shut her class down due to budget constraints. Ultimately - if not predictably - (why else would there be a movie?) - she triumphs over all obstacles and her class takes the stage in Carnegie Hall for their major recital.
It's a good story with a decent cast. I bought this movie as a gift to a friend who is a big Meryl Streep fan. She does some of her best work here.
