Must have
There is only the Brahms on this recording, but what playing.
The superb Italian Quartet are complimented with the great Maurizio Pollini.
Excellent ensemble playing,full of colour and drama, this must be one of the greatest quartets ever.

Superb playing
Perahia gives a remarkable account of these sonatas.
His playing is full of drama and sensitivity.
Throughout these performances he produces a beautiful sound with nuance.
I strongly recommend these recordings, he gets to what Schubert intended.

The Italian quartet was one of the all time great quartets.
One can see why from these excellent performances of the Haydn quartets.
