These myths survive because a lot of people heard of self made millionaires. They’re usually the ones that perpetuate the illusion of hard work, good ideas produce $ucce$$. Without proper opportunities, like being in the right place at the right time and knowing someone who can propel you in the right direction, just by one’s own merit doesn’t take you very far.
