It works.
There's not really a whole lot to say other than it works as advertized.
One thing I would recommend is actually watching video tutorials on youtube as well as following the little instructions included in the package on how to install it. If you've never replaced a typewriter ribbon before, it's NOT as simple and straightforward as you might think.
Also make sure you're ready to get your fingers smeared with some ink.

Wonderful little story
I have a couple chapters in their original places within the Nintendo Power magazine issues I have from that 13 month run. It's really cool to have them all pieced together in one manga book where it's easy to follow and condensed to where it fits in a small piece of physical real estate.
The story is basically an alternate take on Super Mario World, taking place outside of Dinosaur Land. It's relatively simple, being for kids and all, but it works, and it's REALLY funny. Interestingly enough, various elements of both the visuals and in the narrative actually appear in later games, hinting at this story being a possible source of inspiration.
The only complaint I have is that I wish this was a hardcover. As expected for a soft back, when I got it in the mail, the spine looks a little warped, and I hate that. I actually read my books, but I also like keeping them in really good condition so they can look nice on the shelf. Maybe someday it'll be reprinted again with a hardcover option.

i was a little skeptical about how true they were actually going to stay with the original book and i got to say i'm very impressed. not to mention that the artwork in this is stunning. it's given me inspiration on my own drawings :)
