More natural looking star filter; nice service, fast delivery
I've seen photos where the number of "rays" radiating out of a point of light is dictated by the filter -- for example 4-point, 6-point - and although I loved the effect I didn't like the uniformity. With the "Hollywood" filter, the effect seems more random -- more natural -- to me and I am enjoying the effect.
I shoot with an Olympus EM-1 and had tried to "cheat" the system by purchasing a larger sized filter for my big lens and then using a step-down ring for the smaller filer and it didn't work. Because the filter was further away from the lens you could actually see the filter's crosshatching in the image. So if you are going to use these filters, you will have to get dedicated filter size ...if I find a way around that I'll let you know. Great product, fast delivery.
