Well written, highly recommend!
This nonfiction story is well written with vivid descriptions of the rustic conditions experienced by a young teacher hired to teach in Chicken, Alaska in 1927. Though I am only midway through, I am savoring every moment of reading. I could actually feel the intense temperatures, the difficulties experienced on a pack mule/ horse delivering supplies and the thrill of riding a dog sled on the snow. The interrelationships between the townspeople was heartwarming till racism reared it’s ugly head in how the locals felt about the Indians. Since this book is touted as a love story, I am predicting that love will prevail through some tough racial relations.

Decent for fine detail
I am a novice using pastels. As part of an art course I am taking, we need to produce a final project. I decided to do my cat and needed a tool to do whiskers and fine detail. These pencils do just that. They are hard leads and easily sharpened with the sharpener provided.

I intentionally waited to write this review because I wanted to see if there were going to be any problems early on. So far, so good. Battery power is AMAZING. I have been using the recargeable batteries that came with the camera for two months and they are still registering power enough to take pictures. This was not the case with a formally owned Olympus that was touchy with battery power and other things from the getgo. The camera itself is well made with many features. The pictures are beautiful. Do read the manual because there's a lot to know. Even the flash can be adjusted! After ordering, this camera arrived in two days! I was a little disapointed that the promised accessories(battery charger/rehargeable batteries and SD card)were generic, but they work well so I am very happy with this camera and the prompt service. Thanks!
