My all-time favorite advent music
I know it is not strictly speaking "Christmas" music... But I just LOVE this album, especially during advent. Joanne's rendition of old church hymns is soothing, peaceful, angelic. The lyrics are also well worth listening to; pay attention to the deeply spiritual words of the old songs, full of faith and the Love of God! I am a great fan of IONA and am so glad Joanne did this solo album because it shows a different side of her. If you are interested in hearing something more personal and faith-based from the band's lead singer, this one is for you. It does not have much of the traditional celtic instruments or styles of music but her voice carries the same awesome, goose bump quality. In fact, buy "Looking Into Light" AND "Personal," her other solo album.

Classic Rich Mullins at his best. Too sad he left earth way too early. These songs will lift up your faith and encourage your heart. Living on the Great Plains, my favorite is "Calling out Your Name." 5 STARS!!!
