Great machine for what it does
When I received this machine, I put it through the test hoops to make sure everything worked, and it does quite nicely.
However, I run Linux on all my computers, Xubuntu specifically, and even after getting the right video drivers, there is an issue I haven't figured out and no one seems to know how to help - the DisplayPort connection, which, by the way, I detest, does not seem to arouse any digital sound driver in the OS. I have tried to connect it using two different adapters to my HDMI TV, and the digital sound (through the HDMI) simply does not exist. I'll try to track it down and find the solution.
Other than that, this is a great upgrade from the laptop I had been using before, a used ASUS that has major issues running with Linux, and a first-class replacement for my older HP 8710w, which was stolen.
I really, relly like the 1920x1200 display - that was the main reason I bough this.

Great filter for a durable room air purifier.
The filter makes the air much more breathable than our old dirty one. Having five is great because we don't have to look again for a long time. I do note that these are not "pet" air purifiers, they are room air purifiers. If they work for pet odors I wouldn't know - we don't have any.

Good price, reasonable blades
0 von 2 finden das hilfreich Although these don't seem to ahve the same longevity as the full price blades I used to buy at Costco, for the price they make up for it. My standard was a blade that would last six times as long as a Gillette Good News disposable, which were cheap and wore out pretty quickly. The original Fusion blades easily surpassed that need, each one lasting 5-8 weeks before it needed replacement (I don't shave every day...). These are about half the price of the originals, and they last a little more than half the originals, but that's good enough for me. Part of it is how much I use them and taking decent care of them, which is on me.
Overall a really good buy.
