Very interesting story with writing style not as good.
I am a little more than halfway through the book. The story is very interesting, but I think there was a lot of unnecessary detail and excessive wording in some parts of the book. For instance, I don't think the average reader needs to know intricate details about some of the jobs the father had before he got married. I also think the detailed description of the sea, the waves, the weather, and the sky was overdone. I doubt these were Terry's words, and probably came from the imagination of her co-author.
No explanation was given as to why Terry did not run to her mother and brother when she saw them lying on the floor, even if she thought they were dead. I can update this review after I finish the book.
