Great introduction to algebraic geometry
This fantastic book is great motivation to preface a deeper study into algebraic geometry. I found is hard to get excited about the notions of polynomials, prime ideals, sheaves etc beyond them providing algebraic "toy versions" of some phenomena in differential geometry. The connection between the two is laid out wonderfully and starts out from the analytical viewpoint. I highly recommend this to someone who wants to read about algebraic curves, and Riemann Roch theorems in genreal (e.g. in Fulton) but wants to see how the geometric terminology is rooted in the theory of algebraic Riemann surfaces.

concise and clear
Exactly as expected, I like the feel of the book, it's got these thin pages, 'bible paper', but I haven't had any problems with ripping or anything. I've found this book to be a useful reference on distribution theory and Fourier analysis (Part II of the book) and would buy again. Enough has been said about Rudin on the internet, I'll just add that his books are great for reference once you've already encountered the material before, or as a challenging, general, and 'straight to the point' introduction if you haven't.
