Funny in Farsi: A Memoir of Growing Up Iranian in America - VERY GOOD

Amusing and enlightening.

This is a well-written memoir of a woman who experienced vast changes as her family moved from a comfortable life in Iran to a very difficult situation in the USA. She and her family became citizens. Finding the humor in their troubles as well as their successes makes this book appealing as well as enlightening.

John Bayless: Movie CD

The artistry of John Bayless is impossible to describe. Listening to his inventive arrangements is an experience to be enjoyed over and over. I attended a concert by him several years ago, bought his CD "Romantica" and never get tired of playing it. I thought it was time to stock up on more of his work. If he ever comes to perform in your neighborhood, run--to not walk--to be there!
