The best so far
4 von 4 finden das hilfreich This movie holds up beautifully over time. The hippie anachronisms still work, and the staging and landscape setting always struck me as genius. Performances are consistently energetic and effective.
This version is much stronger than the 2001 production, which was overwrought.
I think the reason Jesus Christ Superstar works so well is that it's told from the viewpoint of confused doubters: Mary Magdalene, Judas, Pilate, etc.--and probably the composer and lyricist as well. Everyone knows Jesus is special, but no one understands how or why he makes them feel the way they do.
I always felt that leaving out the resurrection was a cop-out, but from the viewpoint of a confused doubter, it works--especially since Neely doesn't get back on the bus. Nice twist.

Misleading title
I was hoping for more information about the early history and construction of Venice, which this video covers in a somewhat cursory and crudely illustrated fashion, but then passes on to the usual touristic pastiche. There is little real information about the "miraculous canals."

Good workhorse camera
My wife, a former professional photographer using film SLRs, loved the A75. Fine resolution, lots of options for a good price. It got knocked off a wall onto the concrete, we took it to be repared at an authorized Canon repair shop. Took forever, requiring backorder of parts, so we bought a newer Powershot in the mentime, and my wife loves that, too--but the smaller new one doesn't fit the hand the way the A75 does. I finally got the A75 back and used it myself quite a lot. experimented with varying exposure, aperture, etc with all the options, but concluded the automatic setting was just fine 95% of the time.
Was trying to carry it and a large airplane model at the same time, dropped the camera again, damaged irreparably this time. So I went to e-bay and bought another A75 for about $50 including shipping, never even bothered to look at anything else. Great price for a wonderful camera. Just make sure to be hitched to the wrist strap--but this is true of any small digital camera. They don't like being dropped on concrete. But then again, who does?
