When they say coarse, they really mean COARSE.
i originally bought this because a couple of my brand new Irwin Marples chisels (1.5" and 2") each had a slight chip in the edge ... I decided that I would cut back to eliminate these slight chips ... I tried this coarse sharpening stone on an axe blade and realised that when they said coarse, they really meant it ... It worked wonders on the axe but I decided not to use it on my new Irwin Marples chisels ... If you need to take off a fair bit of metal fairly quickly then this is the boy to use ... I will certainly be using it on my mattock, axes and other garden tools but not on my dainty tools ... A very good buy.

If the battery is OK then this is the cheapest way to restore the performance.
If the battery is still retaining plenty of charge then this is a much cheaper way of restoring performance to "as new".
The cutter pack is about one third of the price of a new (identical) complete Panasonic RF-41 Shaver and has definitely made a big difference to the shave ... It is also a "green" way of getting a new shaver performance ... After about three (or more) years, the shaver will gradually lose cutting performance as mine did ... This cutter pack is well worth the money.
For less than £30 I have a brilliant shaver again.

The idea is good ... BUT ....
As an engineer, I thought the original design of this jar opener was a brilliant idea. However, the actual quality of the product left a lot to be desired and no user instructions were provided.

I found it very difficult to actually grip the lid as the sliding jaw tended to jam and would only move when the lever was in the half-way position. Ideally the sliding jaw should move when the lever is in the fully open position. The lever would then move the sliding jaws to tighten onto the jar lid.

On the couple of occasions when I managed to get the jar opener to work, it worked fine. However all the other times it failed to grip at all. My Wife tried many times but totally failed to open any jars. She gave up trying in the end.

After trying many times, I found that the both sets of jaws had bent outwards as the mounting posts had bent.

So I can not in any way recommend this opener and would suggest using the strap type which are similar to the type used to remove Oil-Filters on car engines. These always work well.

It is a great shame that the lid opener under review did not work as expected as in principle it is a great design. With stronger jaw-mounting-posts and a modification to eliminate the jaw jamming problem, I would rate it much better.
