Roller Saddle Locking Tune-O-Matic Guitar Bridge Chrome For Les Paul Parts
28. Sep 2017
The Alternative Roller Bridge!
This is The alternative roller bridge for anyone who's seriously considering adding a vibrato to an instrument. If you're serious on a vibrato, then you should also seriously consider a roller bridge as an integral part of the upgrade. This roller bridge is a Trevor Wilkinson design and he's hit another home run for creating a refreshingly different approach while still retaining functional compatibility with existing hardware. I have several of these roller bridges on different guitars and it works quite well with or without vibratos. My most recent upgrades are to a Gretsch Historic Series (vibrato to be added later) and the "archtop version" of this bridge on a Washburn J4 acoustic-electric. The upgrade went exceedingly easy and will offer improved tone/sustain on the acoustic Washburn and superior intonation too. The Gretsch will benefit from better tuning stability when I install a Bigsby vibrato. The only aspect you need to be concerned with is the type of bridge posts that come with the roller bridge. Large M8 posts are what my guitars needed (metric 8mm diameter threaded posts that fit inside the bushings). Some suppliers of these bridges can be provided with a smaller diameter post/bushing that may work fine, based on your particular needs. I hope this helps you get things figured out.
NEW ChromaCast CC-VS-550 Chain Drive Bass Pedal with Double Sided Beater

Refined & Simple In One Package!
A great design for a modern contemporary kick pedal. It is effectively covering all the bases, yes a PUN is intended. I am using mine in the very specific application for an expanded cocktail-style kit and it is used with a 14" floor tom. The reconfiguring for an upward-motion beater wasn't too complicated to achieve and only had to review some videos on-line on to really grasp the needed reversals to get it "in the ballpark". Some extra refinement was needed so, a second tweaking was done and now, it is ready to go & WORKING JUST FINE!!. The nicely done assymetrical-foot pedal graphics swayed me to go with it. I am also nicely pleased to see that it says "Made in Taiwan" on it!!!
Fender 8250M Nickel-Plated Taperwound Bass Strings, MPN 073-8250-406

For special applications, these string rock!!!
I disagree completely with the previous rating/review submitted for these bass strings. I found my self in a particular situation that demended I switch over to some lighter guage bass strings to reduce tension on a neck that had some anomalies to it. I did my home work and looked at tension charts to see what strings would be balanced and still be at pitch on a six string bass I own. No I am not using these strings as they were intended. I had to think "outside the box" as they say. These strings are exactly 'just what the doctor ordered" and they greatly reduce tension, and along with some careful fret dressing, I have a six string bass that is vastly improved and plays much better than form the factory! The .110 is my low B, .085, .065. are my low E and A respectively and substituted a .050 over the .045 as the D string. The G string is a .035 and the high C is a .025. If these sound like "ultralight guage" strings then, I'd guess I'd hafta say you're right. The bass now demands a soft touch and sounds very well when my rig is turned way up. Success indeed!!!
