Solved an unexpected problem

I have a remote HDD that came with it's own USB cable. Been using it for a while when it suddenly started to develop what looked like disk errors? Running diags showed NO problems so I wondered if it was a cable issue. Never had a USB cable fail before, but this new cable HAS resolved the issue and the HDD is now working fine. Also this cable is much longer than the failing one which is very useful and more convenient. Would not hesitate to buy again.

Very, very nice!

Just as good, if not better, than as advertised. Just arrived, fitted and using as I type this. Solid, light construction in cast aluminium (alloy, I presume). Has saved my office chair, which wasn't a cheap one and yet had the most shoddy base (esp. the welding!) I have ever seen. I had to re-weld one of the castor plates myself last year and my weld was the best one there! Three others went recently... No such problems now - this is a cast item! Castors fit well, and a much quieter than the originals, and sympathetic to my laminate flooring. Well worth the price - would recommend.

Nice to use and fully Hoselock compatible

Very pleased with this - definitely worth the money. My only question is over durability and I can't tell as yet... I had one complaint ... I have wall-mounted it and it is so much easier to use than my last Hoselock unit. The wall brackets have plastic "butterfly" nuts that twist to lock the reel in place, only they don't stay in the locked position. I cured this with addition of two spring washers that allowed me to do the butterflies up tight enough to stop them moving. Please note, the kit needs something like this, otherwise it's an irritation. Apart from that it works well and it means I can lift it off the wall and keep it in the garage out of the frosts! It is pretty much on a par with other offerings in the market, but better priced!
