“Swallow your fear!”
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Of course it begins with crows. Although they’ve never stated why crows appear to be the Creeper’s only entourage. This entry is supposed to slip between the first film and the second, so technically it’s Jeepers Creepers 1 ½. Ad nauseam, they mention the twenty-three rule. The stalking remains the same. This time we learn why it’s never safe to run in single file. The real star of the piece is the Creeper’s van, filled with bodies and booby traps. There’s a tease of sort in that two of the characters “learn” who or what the Creeper is―and they don’t tell us. So if there’s not a fourth installment, we’ll never know. Although if there is a fourth movie I can’t imagine where they plan on wedging it in, unless they do a prequel instead.
It is a bit of a letdown, I can’t deny that. But I liked it just the same. The acting is subpar, although the horse was quite good, the bunny too. Meg Foster did the best she could with what they gave her. The dialog is abysmal. “The point is to stay alive.” To get sniffed and not snuffed.

“Sharks are not lab rats.”
If you’ve never watched the first film, Deep Blue Sea, then this ‘sequel’ is just another offering not unlike those you’d find on the Syfy channel. If you like those, then it’s not difficult to like this one as well. But. Comparing the two films, yes, the first one is better. And yes, this one is just a low budget knockoff of it. Instead of a sequel they basically remade the first film with a less than stellar cast. Except for the gobbledygook speeches spewed by Michael Beach (as Carl Durant rich nut), the script was serviceable. They did what they set out to do, they obviously didn’t aspire to make anything grand. With extremely low expectations, I found myself enjoying this movie in spite of all that. And it has a home in my collection of other crappy shark movies. But no, I will never watch the two Deep Blue Sea movies back to back.
