Works well. Hey, it's a filter... not easy to wax lyrical about a filter. It works

Cool looking, but not very effective as a humidifer
Perhaps my gas-fired "wood stove" does not get hot enough but, while the kettle looks really smart sitting on top of it, I'm afraid it doesn't throw off much steam. It does work a bit better if you keep the water level below the inside opening of the spout which makes sense--the water heats up inside and the steam comes out of the spout. If the water is up to the inside opening, only that much area is available to produce steam.
So, if you have a much hotter stove it might work OK as a smaller humidifier, otherwise just get it for its ornamental value.
