A great versatile set

Everything you need to know about paper making
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I have had, for the 4 decades or so, a desire to make my own paper for greeting cards, scrapbooking, and various other small projects. However, everything I had read about it was too involved, required lots of expensive equipment, and seemed so esoteric and complicated that I was afraid to make the attempt.
This book, which is geared toward elementary school teachers and hobbyists wanting to make small batches of paper in their homes, demystifies the craft. It is written in a concise style that is easily grasped by even the most inexperienced reader. Instructions include using materials that are inexpensive and easily obtained, if not already lying around the house. Instructions are given for methods using caustic or toxic chemicals, but instructions are also always given for alternate methods using ingredients that are user-friendly, even f they take a little more time.
Instructions are also given for advanced and artistic techniques that are achievable by those readers who are inexperienced or even creatively challenged. I can hardly wait to gather my equipment and materials and get started, confident that, after just a few tries, I will be able to fulfill my ambition at last. Thank you, Mr. Studley.

The Muppets Find Treasure With This One
As a long-time fan of the Muppets, I have to say I LOVE this movie, which is a lot like watching an extra-long version of the original "Muppet Show"!! It has all the imagination and off-beat humor I have come to expect of the Henson crew, as well as great sets and the talents of Billy Connelly and Tim Curry. The movie remains surprisingly faithful to Robert Lewis Stevenson's plot while including some hilarious side trips, such as Rat selling tickets to other rats as though it were a pleasure cruise and the rats' further antics as tourists on vacation. There are wonderful musical numbers, such as Tim Curry's song (accompanied by various Muppet pirates) about the life of a professional pirate. My only complaint about the movie is that now I cannot get the music out of my head! ****
