Great book, some improvements recommended.
Good explanations supported by colour pictures.
Better labelling of the pictures would help as would a more extensive glossary, as a term may be used in the text which one can recognise as having been used before but cannot remember what it refers to or cannot trace back to the original mention.
Also sometimes a diagram may be useful and also show on the diagrams the direction of motion.
Finally, a clearer description step by step of reassembly and setting to work would be useful, including sequence, important alignments and pre-start checks, etc.
Otherwise very helpful and clarifying. I now feel I understand how carriage clock strike mechanisms work (except for the strike stopping mechanism which I had to ask someone about since it is not really clarified in the book).
Best book I've read so far!
