Kitchen timer.
A basic, easy to use kitchen timer with an audible alarm and a magnet that easily attaches it to the kitchen hood over our hobs.

Great Monitor for General Use and Gaming
I've always been impressed with the Viewsonic monitors I have used. I still have a 14 inch Viewsonic CRT that I bought second hand for a tenner and which does 1024 x 768 with pin-sharp resolution. This flatscreen LCD monitor keeps up the standard. The image is crystal clear at full resolution, and the 2ms refresh time means that games and DVD's play with no blurring. The widescreen format also means that you can have two documents open side-by-side on the screen. It was easy to set up and adjust - although it is being used with a high spec. gaming video card, which may have some impact on the display quality. And the best bit? If you use Ebay intelligently you can get one new at a bargain price.
The only downside was the absence of decent reviews on the Web. I came across one which suggested the stand is a bit wobbly. It isn't, although you have to be prepared to think just a little to ensure you fix the base the right way round. I bought it largely on the makers reputation. I'm glad I went ahead.
