One of Sony's Most Important Classical Reissues in a Decade.
Rodziński's complete recordings with the "Philharmonic-Symphony Orchestra of New York" (now the New York Philharmonic), brilliantly restored from the best sources. Rodziński prepared the NBC Symphony Orchestra and whipped it into shape before the arrival of its music director, Arturo Toscanini, and was an important influence on the "American" orchestral sound along with Szell and Reiner. Here's hoping Sony opts to issue his recordings with The Cleveland Orchestra and Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
