Still amazingly fresh
Many years ago I read about the Associated Shades in a translation of the first part into Swedish - the only one by the way. I was absolutely amazed by the light and timeless humor in the bickering between the shades. I got the second part some years later, in English and it was as delightful. TO find out now some months ago that there are FOUR BOOKS in a sort of a series and that it was possible to get all of them in one nice book made me hurry away an order. And I have not changed my mind. Delightful and still highly readable after more than one hundred years......
