A Furry Adventure
Ironclaw first ed is quite a read, everything is laid out well and the artwork and lore is done really well. In terms of character creation it does take some time to get use to as it's kind of clunky when you try to make a first character but the layout is done really well to avoid any kind of confusion. There are a ton of races and so many classes with a lot of customization including magic and you can really go to town when it comes to the sheer options. The setting is also very well done as it really goes into the lore and explains the current landscape of what the different powers are going through and its very immersive.
That being said however there are some cons, first off there is no character sheet at all, but with some light digging on the internet you can find it along with a few revisions. Another is that there aren't any actual npcs of any sense, there are some example characters that you could use as npcs but that only about 8 in total and depending on the game size and scenario where there could be dozens of npcs and enemies creating characters could become daunting for some GM's.
Overall would I recommend Ironclaw 1st ed? If you don't mind doing some digging for the character sheets and the supplement books and willing to put some time into npc creation then it is pretty solid overall it just takes some time to understand the games system and some trial and error. Now I do have to be honest, 2nd ed is out and that is currently being supported so if you want avoid potential hassles then you have that option too and it's a slightly more refined version of this game system but this one has a late 90's to early 2000's charm with it's art style which I think will draw a lot of people to it and I like I said the art in here is really good and there is a ton of it.
I hope you guys found this review helpful and have a good one!
