A failed commemorative edition
0 von 2 finden das hilfreich If your going to plug your game as sporting "the original 1962 artwork", then, by golly, it should have the original artwork without deviation. The graphics should have (1) the same fonts and (2) the same colors as the original, ça non!?? In this, Winning Moves has come up short.
I should have believed the colors on the box instead of my own knowledge of the classic design. The green in the safety cards is way too dark, but– even worse–Hasbro/Winning Moves replaced the turquoise blue elements with a bland lavender. Sacrilege!!
And what did they use for fonts in the safety cards? Ariel?? BEURK!!
Perhaps The original metal typesetting equipment has been lost to time? However, with offset printing In this day and age of computer graphics, even in the late 90s, a closer facsimile was certainly within reach.
My last complaint is the car-shaped card tray is a disgrace. It's made out of flimsy boxing plastic. It's so thin, you can see through it in spots!! An egg crate is stronger! So whatever you do, don't sit on it.
These detours are so annoying, I just had to give the game away to stop being reminded of Hasbro/Winning Move's desecration of this cherished game.

Great case with a caveat
I rated case this Yes for durability for it's hard shell, but wish there were more rating options than just Yes/No. Not black and white. I must admit I've had problems with the rubber separating from the polycarbonate on the bottom near the earphone, Lightning, and speaker cutouts. Also, the slim plastic over the Lightning port tends to break. This has been replaced in the Grip's iPhone 6/6S model.
Speck does honor it's warranty, however.
As of this writing, I have not found a case with the combination of grippiness and protection and slimness at this price range. So Speck gets a repeat customer.
Competition has been heating up, though. I think it's time for Speck to replace the rubber with TPU and reserve the rubber on the back for just the grips.

Cards wrapped in cellophane
I collect versions Milles Bornes, French and American. Nice to have the colorful racing card backs.
