Nice quality and inexpensive replacement for GE Profile refrigerator water valve
Purchased this two-way water valve for my 15 year-old GE Profile refrigerator that had a heari-line leak. GE original replacement part was ~$65 and so figured this much cheaper version was worth the risk. It works great! No leaks, quick installation (check YouTube for video instructions). Water flow on first day is very slightly less than for original, and slightly louder when turning on/off. Not sure if that will change over time. But for the price, it's perfect, and would gladly purchase again.
One note: when replacing the two water lines, make sure to use a utility knife to slice off the last 1/3 inch of each tube (because there are one-way metal holders to hold the lines in place - cutting off allows a clean seal). Also, this unit has a C-ring to additionally hold the water lines in place, where the original didn't. Make sure to remove the C-rings with your fingernail or screwdriver before inserting the water lines. Then push the C-rings back to hold the water lines in place. Entire replacement took less than an hour, and most of that time was removing/replacing the bolts to access the back panel. Great product!
