Sturdy and Cute

Great for Mixing, Accurate Headphones, Non-removable Cable
These ATH-M40x headphones sound great and would be wonderful for mixing songs. They are accurate to the recording, detailed, and comfortable to wear. With really wonderful sound and good bass extension, these headphones have a little less bass than the M50x (but M50x are unrealistic level anyway).
The only thing I might change about them is that the cable is non-removable so if it has a problem, you cannot replace it.

Sweet and Accurate
These HP50 headphone are accurate (they reproduce the frequencies it is given without coloring the response) but still sound sweet. That is something most headphone cannot do. They are also detailed in playing high frequencies without being shrill. I use them for working on audio (editing and mixing) and I'm not looking for another. They are a little pricey and (as the old commercial used to say) I'm worth it.
