Funny Games
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich THE most disturbing, unsettling film I've ever seen.Innovative approach between film characters, audience, and the film process itself.Unlike any film I know of. I even wrote the director ( Michael Haneke ) to see if the film's cast was OK! The cast is THAT believable.Looking for a truly out-of-the-ordinary film? Then this is it.A masterpiece. This movie upset me for a full three weeks after watching it, so I believed it deserved to be in my home DVD collection.Do I watch this film a lot now that I own it? NO! It still upsets me but owning a gem like this film makes my DVD library shine!

Pack of Lies
4 von 4 finden das hilfreich "Pack of Lies" remains one of the best character-study-driven films of suspense in my mind.Though made-for-television, don't let this scorcher of a film pass you by. I always recommend avoiding reading DVD covers because they usually tell you way too much of the plot."Pack of Lies" is no different. If you don't read the cover, this film will take you through scenes of almost unbearable suspense, though no huge action-packed incidents occur. The suspense exists because you care about these people. And, I'm not exaggerating, the film works because of its two main actresses - - Ellen Burstyn and Teri Garr. Burstyn is nothing short of phenomenal and I contend that this film showcases Garr's best performance ever on film. Her pivotal character infuses energy into the whole film and creates most of the heart-stopping suspense scenes. I bought this DVD based upon my memory of watching it by chance when it was first shown on television years ago.I was originally floored by this film when I first watched it. Nothing was going to hold me back in purchasing it.Once I bought it, I've since watched it again and it holds up EXTREMELY well.If you're looking for an escapist, action- thriller avoid this film. But if you're looking for an intelligent suspense drama, with , like I said, excellent performances by Burstyn and Garr, then get your PayPal, credit card, moneyorder, or check and BUY THIS FILM!
