Installed it in my vehicle...

Be careful/item fragile.
This item is a bit difficult to use. The adjusting length is limited to about 3/4" maximum without changing rods. Once you install rods you have to start all over again. It is difficult to install takes some handy finger work to do so. Once you get the right length rods you can't shorten the device enough for ease of installation. It would be much easier if the holes for the cinching device went clear through then threaded adjusting rods with thumb wheel adjusters could be shortened and extended as much as 3"" or more making it much easier to install. Slide the cinching device up the rods and spin the adjusting thumb nuts into place and adjust from there.... mine was difficult enough to install that I broke the fragile outer retaining ring on the right side pivot. I had to fabricate a piece of wire around the retaining ring to keep from having the device being a complete loss.
