Good for the price
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich Just got this a couple weeks ago and drove halfway across the country with a large cargo box on top of my Forester. Everything went well and I have no complaints about functionality.
My parents' own a Forester as well and I was able to compare this product with the OEM cross bars that came with theirs. I noticed that these pretty much look the same. Two differences though are that the Subaru bars have a profile that is thicker on the front facing side and thinner in the rear (much like the aerodynamics of a plane wing). This product has what appears to be a symmetrical profile (but I can't quite tell). The other difference is that this product has no labelling on it telling you which bar is the front/back or which side faces the front of the car. These are two pretty important things when you're installing it.
Normally I wouldn't let this bother me much, but the printed manual that came with these cross bars had directions that matched a product similar to the Subaru bars, NOT the bars that I received.
Lastly, the clamp part that grasps the rails on your Forester's roof is only a good fit on the top. On the bottom, where the clamp hinges and closes onto the rails, it only contacts the rails on the edge of the clamp. This makes a gap... and makes me a little nervous about how well it's holding on. Other than those gripes, it seems to be working well. For the price, about $65, I'd say it's worth picking up!
