More than just a good cookbook!
Janice Woods Windle is a true treasure. Her writing is from the heart. True Women Cookbook is not only a wonderful cookbook filled with delicious recipes, but also a glimpse into her family history. The recipes are easy to read and down to earth; they are recipes you could actually make. Her best selling book, True Women, which was made into a mini series, is also available on eBay. Her books Hill Country and Will's War can also be found on eBay. The only problem I have with her cookbook is that I can't decide if I should put it with my other cookbooks or in the livingroom on the bookshelf with my other books. The cookbook , as well as her other books, are set in early Texas. Her books are historical fiction. I bought this cookbook because I had checked it out from my local library, along with her books. I enjoyed her writing so much that I wanted my own personal copies.
