To call this film a classic would make this classic fake.....
Like pretty much other no-wave films, this one challenges the viewer's assumption of what constitutes a hallucination. It articulates the scope and extent to which ordinary people live out the hallucinations they externalize -- effectual hallucinations, if you will. They are radically different from causal species of hallucinations, like organically cerebral ones that stem from schizophrenia or autism, or ones induced by illicit substances. If this assessment eludes you, dear reader, you will find Unmade Beds as abjectly boring as all other No Wave films that Amos Poe and others directed.

This Bennington Flag fulfills my nostalgia for the Bicenntenial 1976. The cost was perfect!
A quality piece of replicated history that does not seem so replicated.

To label this classic a classic would do no justice....
Kafkeque or not, the film is proof that people in real life are the hallucinations they effectually live out. The Foreigner is not meant to be entertaining, because entertainment is only one of several equally relevant components of No Wave films. The film is burlesque and bland at the same time for a reason. One falls asleep during the perusal of this film if one expects immediate coherence. That's the challenge good film occasionally poses.
