excellent and rare quality history of Lucca's walls in ENGLISH
It is rare to find excellent books about Lucca's walls in English. Roberta Martinelli is the author of numerous texts in Italian; she has been a leading scholar on the topic for decades. This book equals her others, is ably translated, and contains numerous archival documents and photographs. A delightful "find" in excellent condition at a reasonable price. Nice addition to my library which includes many books on the city.
