a truly great film ruined by unofficial DVD analog-to-digital transfer of terrible, amateur quality
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Eliseo Subiela's HOMBRE MIRANDO AL SUDESTE (MAN FACING SOUTHEAST) is a truly great film and a personal favorite. This unofficial DVD ("SBP S.A. Worldwide") analog-to-digital transfer is of terrible, amateur quality; obviously NOT sourced from film but rather video master, with poor resolution, gross interlacing artifacts and furthermore no subtitles. This unofficial DVD includes the notice: "El estado del máster original utilizado para esta edición no es optimo" .... [translation] ... "The state of the original master used for this edition is not optimal." THEY AREN'T KIDDING! However, it appears the only official (FilmDallas Pictures) commercial releases were on VHS tape and LaserDisc. A tragedy that a quality DVD of this great film cannot be found.
