Although I am fairly recent to taking up scuba, this device is easily attached, and performs superbly. It does change the way in which divers expect to manage out-of-air emergencies, so familiarization with the unit with divers and dive buddies before diving is essential. I have put these units on all of my BCDs.

I cannot believe what a difference installation of this trigger unit makes! Accuracy and control have improved as well, as trigger pull is only of minimal impact now. It is important to have the correct tools for installation. Installation takes about an hour, probably a lot less if you have done this sort of thing before. I recommend reinstalling the old trigger in the plastic housing assembly first, so as to get an idea of how to install the new trigger, although there are some differences in the pieces. Another recommendation is to use the punch to hold to pieces in position as you install the retaining pin from the other direction. Also, be careful, as the springs will spring out or fall out, and can be hard to find on carpet.
