TV Series 'The Charmer' DVD box set
I'd been fast tracking my career in the 80s when this series was first aired and had only caught a couple of episodes but, what I'd seen, had been worth watching. When I noticed the DVD box set listed on eBay, at a bargain price, I thought it would be money well spent. And it was! Nigel Havers is excellent in the title role and, although a very practised con-man, somehow managed to gain my sympathy (as I suspect many others who have viewed the series) when the odds were finally stacked against him.
I would recommend 'The Charmer' to anyone who enjoys brilliant acting and edge of your seat drama.

Diana Dors as you have never seen her.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Diana Dors truly deserved the accolades she received for this movie and it is a testament to how good an actress she was. It's a pity she was not offered more dramatic roles. If you've not seen this film then you should, you will not be disappointed. British casting at it's best.

Wuthering Heights 2003 - the darker version
I watched this movie on tv and was mesmerised, the story went so much deeper than the original Laurence Olivier/Merle Oberon version. I just had to buy it and always check Ebay first for the best deal. I wasn't disappointed. If you've not seen this version, and enjoyed the original, I highly recommend it.
