Solved my heat problem
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I got what I thought was a great deal on a new HP ProBook with solid-state drive (about 1/2 list price), but it ran hot from the beginning, fan never shut off, and with much use, or hot weather it would overheat and shut down regularly. This was the solution -- stays cool to the touch, and computer fan hasn't kicked on for a week.
The only downside is that it's rather lightly constructed (but all anyone could expect for the price). Requires gentle handling if you move it around much.

Good -- If you don't want a radio
1 von 2 finden das hilfreich thought I'd found what I wanted, since I was looking for something with an AM radio and a cassette player (which are becoming rather scarce on new stereos), and this had both. I got it hooked up (antennas, etc), played some tapes and mp3s, and it sounded very good, but, the radio was worthless. It would pick up some local FM stations, though very weakly, and some only in mono. As for AM, there's a station 10-12 miles from my location, and there was no discernible evidence of it, even with the antenna hanging out the window. Also, the pre-sets for radio stations worked fine while it was on, but turning it off, and back on, deleted them all. I sent it back.

Great within its limits.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Can't say anything bad about it -- works fine with air tools up to 1/2" impact wrench, tire repair, etc. I've seen many bad reviews of this model, but nearly all were from building contractors in the south -- evidently, they don't do well being worked hard all day in the hot sun. If you're not going to work it continuously, it's a bargain.
