55XD is hands-down the best sounding version
It's the best audiophile version I've listened to - with or without the cough.

Get one made in West Germany
Get one made in West Germany for the authentic Dennis Drake re-mastering. I had another later club one that was made in the U.S., and it was not the Dennis Drake version even though it said it was. Some of the treble frequencies are boosted and make Mr. Betts' vocals sound like a different person. It was refreshing to get the West German one and to finally hear it the way it was intended to sound - it really makes a difference.
