I hate sharpening knife blades, so I purchased my youngest child one as a Christmas Present along with other things. The replaceable blades solved the problem of sharpening a blade (although the disposable blades can be sharpened in a pinch), but to see how they hold an edge and after skinning a deer with one blade it was still close to razor sharp. I then purchased my own Edge Knife and have been putting away a few extra blades, should tough times make their appearance.
