What a machine .... but at a price!

When my IBM X24 started to lose battery was on the way out I knew a replacement but wht to pick? I knew I wanted a fast machine, preferably dual core, with a DVD RW and atleast 120Gb of HD. Also desirable would be a widescreen aspect monitor and an ultrabright LED display. So my choices were narrowed down to either the Sony VGN SZ series or a Dell XPS M1330. Cash concerned a better spec could be achieved using the XPS however as with all things American it was never quite as good as the Japanese opposition. The buidl quality of the Dell never seemed as good at the Sony and in the end that won me out! To sum up this laptop has everything! A beautifully vivid sceen, integrated DVD drive - which is a blessing after the IBMs docking station - good quality build, fit n finish as well as a full size keyboard and an fair sprinking of power which should allow it to be future proof for more than a few years!
