excellent research work

this book has some of the best research available for timber castle construction. If you want to know how it was made and why it lasted so long read this book. You learn that timber was the means by which so many fortifications were produced in such a short time. This shows us what came before all the stone castles that still exist today. Well worth having and a great resource
